Set Review: 4906 Brickmaster Helicopter

Hello! I've decided that the first set review I did went well enough to attempt another.

Soooo...

4906 Helicopter


The Package

It's what catches your eye as the set lies on the shelf, and is the selling point.

This is a small plastic bag, unlike most LEGOs which are in boxes. Not the most eye-catching package, but it isn't supposed to be.


The Instructions

Are they easy or hard to build from?

Bizarrely, there are no instructions. The closest thing is the picture on the front of the bag.


This is supposed to be the final product of the paltry 16 pieces. There is also an alternate model on the right side of the pack.

A weird, weird LEGO duck. Who would have guessed?


The Pieces

The most important part of the set, and what I buy them for.

The 16 pieces in this set take up more room than one would think. There are not too many special or unique elements, though.

These are the only very special pieces here, the clear, transparent roof tile, and the smooth black propeller.


The Complete Set

This is what it's for, people. The finished product of your labors.

Well, well, well. A helicopter. A bit blocky, and not quite proportioned properly. But it is most definitely a helicopter.

Final Thoughts

All in all, is the set worth the purchase? Or should you have kept the money?

This set wasn't actually available in stores, just through the Brickmaster program of 2007. It was included for free with the welcome package.

The set is certainly not very special. I would not go out of my way to buy this, but if one needs the pieces it has, then you should get it.

Creations New and Old

Hi everyone, I have more creations to share!

As you can see from the title, one is a new version of an old one.

This, ladies and gentleman, is the NEW and IMPROVED Shadraz T5. You may recall the first version from my first post. This version has improved armor, improved engines, and wings for lift.

This is a Toa of Stone who I had made a while back. The color scheme may seem strange, but Stone Inhabitants have been known to be tan-and-black.

Set Review: 1392 Tohunga Kongu

I told you I would have something special, and I do! Here is my first set review.


1392 Tohunga Kongu


The Package

It's what catches your eye as the set lies on the shelf, and is the selling point.

This is a truly unique packet, as it was only available through McDonalds in 2001. It is a plastic bag instead of a canister or box.


The Instructions

Are they easy or hard to build from?

This is not so much instructions as a poster. There are pictures of combiner models, and scenes from the story.

A real poster adorns the back.


The Pieces

The most important part of the set, and what I buy them for.

Maybe the least pieces in any set known, but rare ones. Some of these are turquoise, a rare color at best, an impossible color to find at worst.

This is what it's for, people. The finished product of your labors.

Final Thoughts

All in all, is the set worth the purchase? Or should you have kept the money?


This set has many rare pieces and colors, and has a great disc-launching function. On the other hand, it cost about $10, and that is a lot for only eight pieces. I still think it is worth the money, though, for the potential the pieces have for creations.

Pros:

-Rare pieces
-Disc throwing

Cons:

-High price
-Few pieces

Halloween Creations

Hi everyone,

Here are some special creations I was saving for Halloween. Hope that it isn't too late now!

First, the skeleton.

It isn't particularly special, but it is very skeletal.

This isn't particularly Halloween-ish but it is the largest Bionicle I have ever made.

Those aren't party favors, they're evil walking pumpkins!

Poor pumpkin...

The LEGO pumpkin! Much better than the ones in sets, I'm sure. (Just kidding)

A Few New Creations

Hi everyone,

Finally, some things that I made! Well, Lego Company actually made the parts, but I constructed something out of them...

Here is the first actual Lego thing I'll show you, instead of just Bionicles. It is a walking vehicle, based on a Exo-Force promotional set. And no, those aren't supposed to be goblets in the front! They're actually supposed to be smoke-venting-things.

This Technic figure is based on an old hockey promotional set made for C1000 Supermarkets in Europe. When you hit its helmet, its "legs" slam together and shoot the puck forward.




This (^) is how it does it.

This is a weird Bionicle Rahi (animal) which I based on the actual set called Squid Launcher Function.

Another Squid Launcher Function thing.

This is a Bionicle pterodactyl that I made. It is mostly wings, as you can tell from the picture.

Standing up.

Ready for flight!

This is a small "Rahkshi Spider", based on the old Rahkshi sets of 2003 and the set called Kraatu.

This is a small four legged Rahi which reminds me of a turtle. It doesn't have the hooks on its feet anymore. I based it on the Kraatu and also QUICK Good Guy White (that's got to be one of the weirdest names ever).

I hope that anyone who reads this enjoys it, and I also hope that the pictures don't freeze up your computer! Come back soon for more!
